Representative Brown brought up reconsideration of the vote on                 
CSHJR 22(STA) (page 686).                                                      
                                                                               
The following was again before the House in third reading:                     
                                                                               
CS FOR HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 22(STA)                                     
Relating to the maritime boundary between Alaska and the former               
Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.                                           
                                                                               
                                                                               
Representative Brown moved and asked unanimous consent that                    
CSHJR 22(STA) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose           
of considering Amendment No. 1.  There being no objection, it was so           
ordered.                                                                       
                                                                               
Amendment No. 1 was offered  by Representative Brown:                           
                                                                               
Page 3, lines 18-21:                                                           
                                                                               
Delete ", and respectfully requests the Governor and the state                
Attorney General to investigate whether any actions in this matter             
may have violated state law and to report on their findings to the             
Legislature within 120 days after passage of this resolution"                  
                                                                               
Representative Brown moved and asked unanimous consent that                    
Amendment No. 1 be adopted.                                                    
                                                                               
Representative Vezey objected.                                                 
                                                                               
The question being:  "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?"  The roll
